If you have never used an at-home system before, here are some tips to get the most out of the NuBrilliance microdermabrasion system.
Most buyers are either eager to get started or never take the time to read instructions, but we caution you to take the time to learn about how to set it up, use it, and care for it properly. This will ensure you get the results you want and that your machine continues operating at peak performance.
Watch the NuBrilliance Instructional DVD
Next, watch the instructional DVD that comes with your purchase. This contains a series of 12 videos, about five minutes each. A professional aesthetician guides you through setting the system up and using it, step by step.
This type of instruction is invaluable! You can watch along as you perform your first few treatments. This will give you a lot of confidence that you are doing it right.
We can’t stress enough how important this is. In our opinion, many of the complaints we read about in forums were due to inattention and lack of practice. This is a new skill and it takes a little time (but not much) to learn it well.

Your First Treatment
Start with the lowest vacuum setting and the finest diamond tip, using the techniques you learned in the videos. Be patient! It is important you work your way up gradually to avoid irritation.
This should be obvious, but give your treatments your undivided attention. In one instance of customer feedback, we read about a woman who complained that NuBrilliance was too harsh on her skin. However, it turned out that she was driving her car while performing her treatment! Please don’t try this at home. 
Care of Your NuBrilliance System
Be sure to keep your unit and accessories scrupulously clean. Follow the cleaning instructions on your DVD.
Change your disposable filters frequently. You get a year’s supply with your system, and refills cost only about 15¢ each. If you have any issues with reduced suction, this can be solved by changing your filter immediately. Change the diamond tips as needed too.
We’ve found that most people are able to do their treatment in around 10 minutes, once they get the hang of it.
